Additional
Information:
Fossil coral is an organic gem material that has been
used for ornamental
purposes for several thousand years.
Fossil
Coral occurs naturally in a broad range of attractive colors.
However, the supply of these colored coral has been greatly reduced
due to various reasons. This particular piece of coral I used for
the handles is nice blue in color and is cross cut to reveal
individual cells that make a
nice contrast.
The Giraffe bones I use are
from the leg bones of the Giraffe. These bones come from South
Africa and were legally obtained from harvested animals. Giraffe
bones have a nice patina
and provides a nice contrast to the Fossil Blue Coral.
