Cherry
Burl comes from a tree in Southern California that was
removed because it was causing property damage. This particular
piece has wild figure with lots of Birdseye
and crevices. Totara burl is native to New Zealand, The burl wood is distinctive for its vast range of twisted grain and birdseye. Because of its scarcity and beauty, the wood is expensive and highly sought out by woodworkers. The burl is reddish in color, has intense birdseye figure throughout, and provides a nice contrast to the Cherry Burl. |
