Information:
Koa comes from Hawaii and is becoming harder and harder to find
because these trees come from private property and owners have less
stands of Koa and are more reluctant to harvest the trees. Curly Koa
is rare among Koa and is found in only a small percentage of Koa
trees and is used in the manufacture of high end guitars. The Curly
Koa used in this folder is some of the finest and rarest pieces made
by mother-nature because it has an intense amount of fine curl (lots
of curl per inch) that makes a nice 3-D
effect.
The Box Elder Burl has real nice figure and provides good
contrast with the darker Curly Koa.
