Information:
The Olive Burl used in this folder comes from the central valley
of California and was harvested from an orchard that was clear
cut in order to replant with Almond trees. This particular piece
of Olive Burl is highly figured.
The Redwood Burl came from an "Old Growth" stand of Redwoods in Northern California. The original trees were harvested almost a hundred years ago and the burls were left standing because they could not be used for lumber. Redwood Burl is in limited supply and has real nice figure. The Redwood Burl in this folder provides a nice contrast to the lighter color Olive Burl. |
