Additional
Information:
The
Weathered Ox Horn Bark is from the exterior of the Ox horn and has a
lot of character. This Ox horn bark comes from domesticated animals
in Asia and has nice cracks, crevices, colors,
and
texture.
Honduras Rosewood
is a
very hard and heavy wood with multi red and brown colors. Honduras
Rosewood has a distinctive rose fragrance. This wood has been sought
after hundreds of years ago from furniture and musical instrument
makers. Honduras Rosewood sometimes produces a burl in which the grain is radically deformed because of some
stress or damage and makes small birdseye knots.
This burl wood is highly figured and is sliced into veneers and thus accounts for
much of its rarity and price. The Honduras Rosewood Burl that I use
has been sustainably harvested. This
piece of burl has both Heartwood and Sapwood that gives the
contrasting tan on maroon colors
and
provides
a
nice
contrast
to
the
Weathered
Ox Horn Bark.
