Additional Information: The Woolly Rhinoceros is an extinct species of Rhinoceros that was common throughout Europe and northern Asia during the Pleistocene which lasted from 2.5 million to 11,700 years ago. This animal became extinct because of several reasons including hunting, climate change, and diseases. The Woolly Rhinoceros coexisted with the Woolly Mammoth and both sometimes shared the same forage areas. The Woolly Rhinoceros used in the knife handles came from Siberia. Most of these fossils come from native people who collect them on river banks and from various digging sites. This particular piece used for the knife handle has a nice patina and cracks/crevices for character

The Giraffe bones I use are from the leg bones of the Giraffe. These bones come from South Africa and were legally obtained from harvested animals. Giraffe bones have a nice patina and provides a nice contrast to the Fossil Woolly Rhinoceros Bone.
