Information:
The Steller's Sea Cow was a large herbivorous marine mammal that was
hunted to extinction and it is related to the Dugong and the
Manatee. This particular piece has a beautiful ancient patina and some exterior
bark that has scars and cracks due to exposure to the elements for
thousands of years.
The African Blackwood is an exotic wood native to Eastern Africa. This piece provides a nice contrast to the Fossil Steller's Sea Cow Bone. |
