Information:
This piece of Spalted Pen-Line Maple came from a lumber mill in
Pennsylvania. The Spalted Maple wood can not be used in
lumber so the mill owner has been throwing his "waste"
in a box and selling it to me. The wood has lots of curly figure with
pen-line spalt running throughout.
The Pheasant Wood came from Maui and was harvested during a road improvement project. This wood looks like the breast feather of a pheasant and provides a nice contrast top the lighter colored Spalted Maple. |
