Information:
The Woolly Mammoth lived during the
Pleistocene that was 2.58 Million to 11,700 years ago. This mammoth
had large ivory tusks and is related to an extinct elephant genus
and was about the size of today's African Elephants. The woolly
mammoth coexisted with early humans who hunted these animals for
food. However, they became extinct at the end of the Pleistocene
probably because of climate change and hunting. The Woolly Mammoth
ivory, teeth and bones I use comes from Siberia. Most of these
fossils come from native people who collect them on river banks and
from various digging sites.
Black Onyx has been described as having attributes which influences
a person. These include self control, decision-making, intuition,
protection. It is widely believed that black onyx can change your
habits are erratic, either when used with faith. It is about as one
powerful protection stone as it absorbs negative energy of people to
release mental stress and promote emotional well being. This piece has been
reconstituted by grinding raw stones to a powder then adding a
binding agent then dried. This makes slabs of stone which can then
be used for knife handles. This particular piece has
gold
veins and a wonderful sheen.
