Curly Koa Handle

This is a Curly Koa handle on a Small Skinner. Koa is reddish to dark brown and often has curls through it. The wood shimmers in the light. Makes a nice handle that compliments well with a Fiddleback Maple bolster. I bought this wood on the big island in Hawaii-- seems like it came from a volcano lava flow near Hilo that killed lots of trees.
