Quartersawn Macadamia Nut

This is a piece of Macadamia Nut. This wood is a medium-brown with a blue hue. When quartersawn, it often has fish scales spots on the wood. Nice as a bolster to complement quilted maple. This piece came from an old orchard off the big island in Hawaii.
