Laramie Knifeworks - Salt Cedar Burl - A Custom Hunting Kitchen Cutlery Knives Site

This is a stabilized Salt Cedar Burl handle on a Fillet Knife. This wood is highly figured with lots of swirls and eyes. Makes a nice complementary handle or bolster wood. Color varies from light to dark brown.

This burl came from a tree that someone had thrown into a friend's orchard irrigation ditch. Unfortunately, the tree was lying in a patch of poison oak-- made the cutting a little tricky. Makes me itch just thinking about it.
